Small excavators also have steel tracks. The rubber track is the same structure as the rigid track. It consists of a guide wheel, a driving wheel and a walking frame. There are transmission parts inside, and the steel transmission parts are embedded in the vulcanized rubber belt. The main parameters are the pitch, the number of nodes, the pattern style or the style of the embedded metal parts, etc. The small size of the rubber track has light weight and small vibration. , low noise, strong adhesion, good ground adaptability, no damage to the road surface, etc.; especially suitable for urban construction. The basic structure of the rubber track and the steel track is the same, and it is usually composed of guide wheels, supporting wheels, driving wheels, supporting wheels, tracks and walking frames.
The main differences and characteristics of rubber track and steel track of small excavator
(1) The rubber track is a whole continuous track made of rubber molded. The core is reinforced with fabric and multiple steel wire ropes. There are shoe spines on the outside and transmission parts on the inside. Steel transmission elements are inlaid in vulcanized rubber belts. The main parameters of the rubber track are the pitch, the number of nodes, the width of the track, the pattern pattern, the pattern of the embedded metal parts, etc., as shown in the figure.
(2) The driving wheel is installed on the travel reducer and is used to wind the crawler belt to ensure the mechanical driving operation. The driving wheel for the rubber track adopts a convex tooth shape with a pitch of 128mm. There is bending stress during the working process of the track, which will cause fatigue damage to the track, so the diameter of the driving wheel should not be too small.
(3) The supporting rollers, supporting wheels and guide wheels respectively straddle the two sides of the track teeth and press on the rubber plane. 5 maintenance suggestions for the rubber track of the small excavator
(1) There must be an appropriate tension. If the tension is too small, the track will fall off easily; if the tension is too large, the service life of the track will be reduced. When checking and adjusting, the walking system should be lifted unilaterally, and its height should be 10-20mm, as shown in Figure 3. When the tension is small, it can be readjusted through the tension cylinder.
(2) Avoid sharp objects while the machine is walking, so as not to scratch the track; avoid turning too fast on commercial concrete roads with high friction coefficient to avoid rubber tearing. Under normal circumstances, it should also avoid turning too fast and too sharply, and try not to use unilateral track steering when turning.
(3) Do not make the crawler stick with corrosive substances such as oil, once found, wipe it off immediately.
(4) For long-term storage, it should be placed indoors to avoid sun and rain. Before storage, the track should be cleaned to prolong the service life.
(5) Once the driving wheel is worn out, it should be replaced in time.
